Job Description
Set up, operate, and maintain conventional lathe machines and turning equipment to machine stainless steel and alloy metal components.
Perform turning, facing, grooving, boring, threading, knurling, and drilling operations according to technical engineering drawings.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, tolerance specifications, and process routing sheets.
Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, inside/outside micrometers, bore gauges) to ensure tight dimensional tolerances.
Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, cutting tool sharpening, and insert indexing.
Maintain physical stamina to lift heavy workpieces/tooling and stand for extended periods on the manufacturing floor.
Adhere strictly to heavy engineering safety protocols, PPE usage, and 5S workshop standards.
Qualifications
ITI in Turner / Machinist / Fitter trade or equivalent technical qualification.
2 to 7 Years of hands-on experience operating conventional lathe machines and performing turning operations, preferably in heavy engineering or steel manufacturing plants.
Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints and measuring precision parts.
Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work across rotational factory shifts.
