Job Description
Handle tool room operations, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of plastic injection molds and tooling.
Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of molds to ensure minimal production downtime.
Operate conventional and tool room machinery (lathe, milling, surface grinding, EDM, etc.) for mold modification, repair, and tool manufacturing.
Inspect mold components, core/cavity inserts, and runner systems using precision measuring instruments.
Coordinate with the production team for mold trial runs, defect analysis (flash, short shot, warpage), and mold rectification.
Maintain mold history cards, tool room inventory, spare parts logs, and implement 5S safety standards.
Qualifications
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, CIPET (DPMT / DPT / PGD-PPT).
2 to 5 Years of hands-on tool room experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing.
In-depth knowledge of mold design interpretation, mold maintenance, and precision machining.
