Job Description
Assemble, fit, align, and test dies, press tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures within specified tight engineering tolerances.
Interpret and read detailed technical engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and CAD tool layouts for manufacturing and assembly.
Operate conventional tool room machinery including lathe, milling, surface grinding, drilling, and shaping machines to fabricate high-precision tool components.
Carry out routine maintenance, sharpening, troubleshooting, and repairing of damaged or worn-out cutting tools, punches, and die sets.
Conduct trial runs (die trials), inspect initial stamped/pressed components using precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges), and make necessary tool modifications.
Maintain tool room safety practices, ensure tool life optimization, and adhere to 5S housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
ITI (Tool & Die Maker / Machinist) / Diploma in Tool & Die Making (NTTF / IGTR / CIPET) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2 to 5 Years of practical experience in tool making, press tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures assembly in a precision manufacturing or tool room environment.
Strong capability in blueprint/drawing reading, fitting, and precision machining.
