Job Description

Manage end-to-end maritime procurement operations, purchasing, and supply chain fulfillment for assigned fleet vessels.

Review purchase requisitions from vessels/technical superintendents, float Requests for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate competitive vendor bids, and issue Purchase Orders (POs).

Utilize marine enterprise procurement systems (BASSnet or similar software) for requisition tracking, PO management, and catalog processing.

Coordinate with global and local ship chandlers, technical suppliers, freight forwarders, and port agents to ensure timely delivery of ship stores, provisions, and spare parts.

Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, discounts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Monitor vendor performance, maintain updated vendor matrices, and resolve invoice discrepancies with the finance/accounts team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marine Engineering, Commerce, or related discipline.

2 to 4 Years of core procurement and purchasing experience, preferably in ship management, maritime, or shipping/fleet operations.

Hands-on experience working with marine ERP/procurement systems (BASSnet or similar platforms preferred).

Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor relationship management skills.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for coordinating with international stakeholders and vessel crew.
