Job Description
Lead the design, qualification, and lifecycle management of packaging solutions for medical devices.
Ensure all packaging designs comply with ISO 15223 standards, medical device labeling guidelines, and environmental regulatory requirements.
Develop packaging project schedules, resource allocations, and milestone tracking using Microsoft Project.
Conduct material selection, product-package compatibility assessments, and sterile barrier integrity testing.
Perform detailed packaging costing analyses, bill of materials (BOM) creation, and optimization for manufacturing scale.
Maintain complete packaging design history files (DHF), technical documentation, and regulatory submission data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical disciplines.
1-3 Yrs of experience in medical device or sterile packaging engineering.
Strong familiarity with ISO 15223, ISO 11607, ASTM/ISTA testing standards, and environmental compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, CAD packaging tools, and costing/BOM systems.
