Job Description
Perform complex Design calculations and technical evaluations for piping systems, specialty items, and Valves.
Develop detailed piping material specifications (PMS) covering metallic piping, HDPE systems, and specialized alloys.
Oversee Material management and material requisition processes across global energy and process plant projects.
Evaluate vendor technical quotes, bid tabulations, and design drawings during project Transition and execution phases.
Apply advanced Technology tools to model piping material requirements and interface with 3D CAD/P&ID databases.
Coordinate with piping stress engineers and process teams to ensure piping material integrity under high pressure/temperature.
Maintain organized piping material specification archives, purchase requisitions, and vendor review logs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
1-3 Yrs of core experience in piping material engineering, material specification, and heavy industrial plant projects.
Deep technical expertise in ASTM/ASME standards, HDPE piping, valve selection, and design calculation tools.
Exceptional technical documentation, vendor evaluation, and engineering design capabilities.
