Job Description
Set up, operate, and maintain machine shop equipment including Lathe, Grinding, and Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for precision automotive component manufacturing.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Toyota Production System (TPS) guidelines to meet shift production targets.
Interpret engineering blueprints, process sheets, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
Perform routine tool changes, workpiece clamping, fixture alignment, and basic offset adjustments.
Conduct in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, height gauges) to ensure tight tolerances.
Execute basic autonomous maintenance, tool cleaning, lubrication, and strictly adhere to 5S and plant safety regulations.
Qualifications
ITI (Machinist / Turner / Fitter) with NCVT certification, or Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering.
2 to 4 Years of hands-on machining experience in an automotive manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
Strong practical skills in operating VMC, grinding machines, and conventional/CNC lathe equipment.
Familiarity with engineering drawing reading, NCVT standards, and quality inspection tools.
