Job Description
Conduct method study and motion study to optimize garment production processes, streamline sewing floor layouts, and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Perform accurate time study, set standard allowed minutes (SAM), and establish production baselines for garment manufacturing lines.
Design efficient plant and process layouts to ensure smooth material flow, minimal handling time, and maximum space utilization.
Monitor line efficiency, evaluate operator performance, and implement line balancing techniques to achieve daily production targets.
Coordinate with production managers, quality teams, and supervisors to drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost reduction initiatives.
Prepare operational efficiency reports, productivity trackers, and engineering metrics using MS Excel/ERP.
Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Apparel Production.
0 to 5 Years of experience as an Industrial Engineer within the apparel, garment, or textile manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, work measurement, and garment production workflows.
