Job Description: Chartered Accountant
Statutory Audit, Cost Audit, IFC, Internal Audit, and MIS Activities
1. Role Overview
The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for ensuring robust financial processes through statutory, cost, and internal audits, as well as managing MIS activities for group reporting. The role requires collaboration with assistants to efficiently execute tasks and maintain high standards of compliance and accuracy.
2. Key Responsibilities
Statutory Audit: Oversee statutory audits as per the Companies Act and other applicable laws. Coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and ensure timely completion of audit procedures. Address audit queries and implement recommendations for process improvements.
Cost Audit: Lead cost audit activities, including preparation of cost records and statements. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, analyse manufacturing and operational costs, and support cost optimisation initiatives.
IFC & Internal Audit: Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and operational procedures. Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and monitor implementation of audit findings.
MIS Activities to Group: Prepare and consolidate Management Information System (MIS) reports for group reporting. Work closely with assistants to gather, validate, and analyse financial data, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports. Facilitate communication and information flow within the group.
3. Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA).
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in statutory, cost, and internal audits, as well as MIS reporting.
4. Skills Required
Strong analytical and numerical ability.
In-depth understanding of statutory compliance, cost accounting, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage and guide assistants.
5. Additional Duties
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and other financial regulations.
